Dynamite girls - Dead in her Tracks Dani.

I love the Dani sculpt, but I'm so picky about the way the faces are painted, that the only one I liked had green eyeshadow.   I stay away from repainting eyeshadow, and I know in my last post I said I can't repaint much any more, but I can manage a bit of lippy, blush, and maybe eyebrows.

So when this version of Dani came along, I snapped one up, and set about re-styling.  Yes, of course this is meant to be a fantasy doll, but I'm all about the natural beauty, and I draw the line at blue blusher.  Okay, and blue lippy,  and blue eyebrows.

The hair was okay, but at the back, it was very cardboard, and even if I'd washed it out, it was kind of matted, so I decided on a re-root too. The eyelashes were a bit rubbish, so I re-did those too.

Call me fussy, but when you spend almost £100 on these dolls, you kind of expect them to be a bit better quality.  But I digress,  here she is with her new look.  Pale lippy, and palest blonde hair - which gives her a sort of  60's flavour.

I love her this way, and am thinking of making a sort of grown-up Alice in Wonderland outfit for her.  Maybe.

She also looks sassy in the Frank Sinatra hat - which didn't fit my latest hybrid.

I have a couple more Dynamite girls arriving,  a horrendously expensive Back to Brooklyn Jasper, and a wave 2 Jett.  Oh my days, I've spent far too much on dolls (and fabric) this month.  How did that happen? So much for my resolve not to spend anything this summer and concentrate on making outfits to sell instead,
