Sometimes it helps to be obsessive....

Still plugging on with the patterns. This one is for jeans and I'm really enjoying the photography angle, as much as the sewing part.  The instructions - Argh. I just hope I'm articulate enough to be explaining things well.  Still, there's no substitute for good pictures.  My close-up skills have improved considerably whilst doing this.

I bleached some denim especially for this project, and am loving that washed-out look with the contrast stitching and the rivets.  :)

I'ma gonna be typing instructions in my sleep tonight, and my hands are going to be famous.

  1. the looks so good.. have you tried making them and then bleaching with the bleach pen so you get it to look just where you want the faded area to look like

    1. I've bought a bleach pen after you told me about them, but I've yet to use it. I'll try it when I get a spare few minutes and see how it goes. I'd also like to try drawing a bleach swirl or flowers onto a pair of girls jeans too. :)

  2. I think it would be very easy to understand what you need to do from your pics - they are very clear - I sometimes struggle with written instructions so having pics as well is always a huge plus! Now if I could just manage to get my stitches straight..... (me and straight lines never did get on lol!!)

    1. I hope so :) I'm thinking of making a small pattern for free, so people can give me a little feedback on how well I describe things, maybe a pair of undies or stretchy shorts. And yes, why do wiggly lines seem so much easier?
