My brain is fried - but never mind, have a nice shiny pattern....

When I get an obsession, I really do get an obsession.   Which I suppose is good when it comes to being productive and maintaining quality control!

I've managed to create the Pippa pants pattern in just over two days - we'll include a sleepless night in that too.  I'm pleased with the finished result. The tutorial is 26 pages long, and has over 50 photos.  The photography was fun, as was the sewing - although doing Pippa sized things again reminded me of why I moved on to the larger dolls.  But I did get really expert back in the day, with Pippa couture, so it would be a shame for all that expertise to go to waste.

Here are some visuals from the Tutorial, starting with the cover jpg.

The pattern is now in my Etsy store here:

I'll be doing some more Pippa stuffs, then I'll move on to Ellowyne because I PROMISED someone I would - but oh my, the fabric I ordered for the Ken coat arrived today and I just really want to get on with that one now.  The temptation to keep playing  with my boys is horrendous.

Once my Hunger Games dolls arrive, with my new Harley Ken (Yes I like him so much I bought another one)  - I may have to abandon Ell and Pip for a bit longer.  Le sigh.

  1. Hello, I just found your blog :-). These pants are so tiny, and they look great! I can't manage such small garments myself, it must be difficult to make. I look forward to follow your posts! Linda

    1. Hello! thank you for the kind words. I really get a kick out of people enjoying the blog and my blatherings. I'm much happier making garments for bigger dollies but thought I'd make the most of my 1/12th scale know-how. :)

  2. Fab - you're really on a roll!!!! I can be patient and wait for the Ell pattern ....... you do whatever you fancy next... can't wait to see your new boys and what you do with them .... although Ell might have something to say about being abandoned for boys!!!!

    1. I'm getting a little routine going now, so it seems to be going pretty well. Having good pattern that I can rely on does help though! Sorry Ell... what can I say? I'm besotted with my boys. I do have a couple of plans for Ell patterns though, so hopefully not too long to wait.

    2. I think Ell could be besotted with boys if only there was a boy that looked good with her! I'll keep practising my sewing skills while I'm waiting - it's making a nice change from the knitting and crochet!

    3. Yeah, I feel sorry for the poor thing only having Rufus available! Phin from the steampunk dolls is quite cute, but his head is not the same sort of scale as Ell. I wish they'd make an cuter male doll to go with Ell and her pals. Keep up the sewing! It’s fun! :)
