Another quickie

I used to do a LOT of embroidery, but haven't done so for years.  Today I decided to add some embroidered embellishments to a Sindy waistcoat, and I'm loving it.  So therapeutic. :)

Just simple french knots and lazy daisy stitch.

That's it really for today. I'm actually procrastinating because I’m supposed to be going through my hard drive and deleting a load of duplicate files - which are taking up a hell of a lot of space.

It's so boring.  And more than a little confusing.  Bleh.

  1. Very pretty - those are about the only two embroidery stitches I can do and not always that well lol! My Mum was the embroiderer and she did try and teach me but I never did get the hang of it! Deleting files is never much fun.... why do hard drives fill up so quickly!

    1. My mum taught me a few things, then I raided her books and taught myself loads of stitches... but I still need to look up free instructions on Google to this day, lol. At least I never have to buy a book.

Ugh, my hard drive is crammed with duplicate files because I emergency back-up all my sewing patterns and the working documents in terror of losing something. I need a proper system....

    2. Hurrah for google and finding free instructions... it's saved me a few times with knitting and crochet stitches! You need a separate hard drive as back up. I've got one with all my photos and patterns on.

    4. I use SD cards to back up my stuff, as they can be enormous for such tiny things, and just in case my desktop pc dies, then I can access it all on my netbook of tablet. Yes, I'm so addicted to my tech that I have lots of backup devices.... :p
