Sunday drive-by.

I don't usually post teasers this early into a pattern, but this is shaping up so nicely.   It's a tried and tested pattern for Ellowyne,  I'm just trying to work things  so that an easier version can be made from this same pattern.

It's so feminine and pretty!

If I was twenty years younger, I'd wear it.

But yes. Just a teaser for now.  Everyone is going to have to wait to see the eventual pattern.

I'd almost forgotten what a nice shape Ell is to sew for.  She's feminine, and fun to fit clothing to, but she has a nice small bust which makes my life a whole lot easier.   I keep looking at my Evangelines and wanting to make them something dramatic, but those enormous boobs.  Why?

In other news, I've been spending inordinate amounts of time on Pinterest.  So much inspiration!  I must have saved and pinned a gazillion fashion ideas.

Making the patterns as my actual living has meant that I don't get the time to do something really outside the box and creative and fun.   I need to make something fabulous soon and try out all the ideas in my head, or I'll start stagnating.

    1. I keep following links on Pinterest, and end up miles away from the thing I started looking up! It's fun, but so distracting.

  2. TEASER indeed, harrumph, Ms. Tess! ha ha looking forward to whatever you come up with. And on your FB page I noted I got out my Ellowyne, knowing you have a pattern coming up -- she IS a pleasure to sew for, isn't she? Not as heavy as the KW dolls, and I don't worry if I drop her on the floor lol

    1. I know, I'm so mean. :p It'll be worth it though, I hope... going to check out my FB a bit later, so I'll see your comment there :)

She is lovely to sew for. My favourite, I think. and yes, I'm far less precious over my Ells. My fit model, the one I use for pattern drafting etc, is a poor wee thing though, she has scratches on her back from all the pins!

    1. It's nearly done. The hot weather has slowed me right down, but I'm on the stage where I draw out the pattern pieces and take the final photos. Couple of days? Weather willing!
