"Country Bride" Special outfit for Ellowyne Wilde

Sometimes I like to just let the fabric inspire me, and see what direction I end up going in.   for this lovely ensemble it was the Michael Miller dotted swiss lawn that I just had to use.

I didn't envision this going bridal, but it did, so I made the pretty tiara and bouquet to match.

Now in my Etsy shop

I think my painted-eyes Ellowyne makes a lovely bride.

There had to be fripperies, so I've made some pretty stockings, and some very cute bloomers to match.

The bouquet is wired to fit Ell's hand, and doesn't slip off.

All that beading!   I've done the back of the bodice as well as the front.  It's fiddly work, but once I start beading, I never want to stop.

During the making of this, I ran out of fabric and had to order some more. While I waited, I started a new corset outfit for our Ell, so I'll be finishing that next, and listing it.  So that's what's going to be next.

Then I think maybe a new sewing pattern for Ell. Seeing as she hasn't had anything new for a while.

Some might think I'm procrastinating because beginning something for my HUGE new Iplehouse nYID girl is too scary.

You may say that. I couldn't possibly comment.  ;)

Outfits for Little Darling and Iplehouse BID

Welp, the Boneka Posh Frock' sold before I had a chance to list it, but the BID and the Little Draling versions are available now in my Etsy shop.

First up is the LD version:

I love fresh aqua for summer wear. And this looks so pretty, with lots of little accessories.

And as ever, the shoulder ruffle can be worn as dress straps when it's too hot for armlets:

You get six pieces in this set, including the handmade shoes, which I had a ball making.  Pretty sandals, with heel supports, so they don't keep slipping off the dolly's feets.

Next is the same outfit, in different colours for Iplehouse BID:

In my Etsy shop:
£75.00 with shoes
If you don't want the shoes, let me know after buying, and I'll refund £15.00, and send the outfit without them.

Very princess-y and pretty.

Just a note. The shoes are a little bit large on BID, but I've included them because they tone in nicely with the salmon pinks o the outfit.  You don't have to have them if you don't want them.

It's been really hot here these past couple of days and much as I hate to complain about the sun, I don't do well in this sweltering heat.  It means I can't work very well, so things will be a bot slow until it cools down.

But then there's always Wimbles, this week. :)

SSP-060: Sewing pattern for Effner Little Darling.

Here we go.  This looked so beautiful on my Bonekas, that I had to make one for LD.  Now you can make matching dresses for your LD and their little sisters.

*Available in my Etsy shop:

*Etsy will charge EU customers VAT (This does not affect America or other non-EU countries).  I always recommend people to look in my Craftsy store anyway, as the prices fluctuate, due to the international exchange rates and may be cheaper.  I always recommend comparing prices.

My Craftsy store:

On CD disc from Ebay: (No VAT payable, and no charge for the CD itself, just  the pattern cost and the postage.)

Or right here on the blog: (PayPal shopping cart)

If you do buy from me here on the blog, and you live in the EU, the rules state that I don't have to charge you VAT as it's a direct sale. Once you have cleared checkout, I will email the pattern files to you directly. Please allow me 24 hours, because of time zones. Usually it will be far quicker than that.

You can find the sales pages at the top of the blog, in tabs for each section. I will email you the pattern PDF files directly, after you've cleared checkout. Click this link to email me, if you have any queries.

I have been working on my files to try and consolidate the tutorial parts and pattern template parts, to create just one document that is neater and easier to download.  There are still two paper sizes, A4 for Europe, etc, and US Letter size for the States.  You will receive the pattern in the new format.

As with the Boneka/BID pattern, this includes Dress, petticoat, and armlets.  (Click on images to see them enlarged.)

It looks lovely without armlets, and the shoulder ruffle can be worn as dress straps.

Or worn as a more princess-y dress.

Here's the petticoat and armlets:

And a better one of the armlets:

This is one of my favourite dresses to make, and I want to create one for Iple JID, and KW Tobi. Possibly even my nYID, but that would be a big make!

Not sure what's coming next.  I'm just letting my fabrics inspire me at the moment.

In other news, I had a tooth out today, and was brave.  I told the dentist "That was a doddle", and he laughed at me. In a nice way.

I've also lost nearly 2 stone now.  I'm slogging away to shave it down.  In fact now I'm losing the weight, the depression is lifting a tad. I've bought some new clothes, some lovely scarves and some earrings.  It may seem commonplace, but I've had only 2 drawers full of clothes and no jewellery for years now.  So buying lovely new stuff is a big step forward for me.
