SSP-076: "Summer Vibes" digital sewing pattern for Smart Doll.

At long last!   Lockdown has had my anxiety through the roof, but I have spent the whole time working on something for Smart Doll.  I hope everyone has kept safe, and is coping okay.

I wanted to make a dress to fit all bust measurements of Smart Doll, and I've not only done that, but the dress on its own will fit a number of dolls.  That said, the belt may need lengthening or shortening, and the leggings are designed only to fit Smart Doll - with the best will in the world, I can't create a leggings pattern in one package to fit every doll the dress will fit!  It's a lovely ensemble though, and I'm very happy with it.

The long dress is cut extra wide and is gathered onto the yoke.  So as long as the yoke sits on the doll's shoulders, and the length is okay, it will fit a lot of differnt dolls. Mostly SD size, but the shorter dress does look cute on my Kaye Wiggs MSD girls.

But of course Smart Doll is the star of this show, so here's Cass and Cali to model:

The clever little Obi style belt could be used on a number of other outfits, not just this one.

The hipster leggings look fab under the shirt dress, and could easily be made with or without the ruffles.

And here's the dess on a few of my other dolls.  I think this dress will fit a lot of different dolls. The belt is  very easy to lengthen or shorten.  My Iplehouse nYID has a bust size of 26.2cm, and the long dress is roomy on her.  The short dress is cut with even more room in it.

I just love sewing for Smart Doll.  The next pattern will probably be for her too.  I'm kind of addicted.  But fear not, I will definitely be picking up my other lovely girls in the future.

SSP-075: "Boho Vibes" - Sewing pattern for default bust Smart Doll.

This is an entirely new style from the Raccoon HQ desk.  I've always found skirts for dolls that bit pesky. They ride up, they twist around so the front is at the side, hence, I've always wanted to make a skirt with combined knickers.

...And here it is.

Both girls (for once) approve of the design.  Cass doesn't think it's too girlie, and Cali thinks it's girlie enough.

If the front lacings look a bit daunting, don't worry!  they are mock ties, and the top actually fastens in back with snaps.  You can use eyelets, or just embroider the lacings in with cross stitch.

I've made this as versatile as possible.  The top can be made without sleeves, and the knickers can be made separately from the skirt.   Knickers are a great addition to any outfit you make, not just this one.

And let's not forget the hat.  It will look cool with numerous outfits.

Here's the clever little skirt.  You can easily make it longer by cutting a deeper ruffle.

Next up... I'm not sure.  I'm adding some pieces to these outfits to list them for sale.   I may try a long summer dress next, or something for a different doll.

We'll see where the muse takes Rufus and me. (He may look happy enough, but he's a tad miffed at me for letting him get dusty and then subjecting him to an under-the-bathroom-tap shower.)

SSP-074: for Default bust Smart Doll.

This is a favourite style of mine and I've produced similar dresses for several types of doll.  Finally I was able to sit down and make one for the default bust Smart Doll.  these girls are a lovely shape to sew for, and the resulting dress and top are very flattering and feminine.

I was on such a roll with this one, that I created a little top as a bonus.  It shows off  Cali's sexy midriff nicely.

Here's the long version, on Cass.  She doesn't usually approve of anything too girly, but I think she likes this one.

Cali, of course, prefers the flirty one, with girlie flowers and lace.

These armlets are a great item too.  You can make them to go with different outfits, not just this one.

Next up, I'm having fun with these girls again, so it'll probably be something else for Smart Doll.

KP-010: Cowl neck dress & Sweater for Kaye Wiggs MSD girls.

I made this cowl neck as a test, but it was so well received on Facebook, that I was asked to produce the knitting pattern for it.  So here it is, as promised.

*Available in my Etsy shop:

*Etsy will charge EU customers VAT (This does not affect America or other non-EU countries.)  I always recommend that people look in my Craftsy store anyway, as the prices fluctuate due to the international exchange rates.

If you do buy from me here on the blog, and you live in the EU, the rules state that I don't have to charge you VAT as it's a direct sale. Once you have cleared checkout, I will email the pattern files to you directly. Please allow me 24 hours, because of time zones. Usually it will be far quicker than that.

You can find the sales pages at the top of the blog, in tabs for each section. I will email you the pattern PDF files directly, after you've cleared checkout. Click this link to email me, if you have any queries.

This will fit all 3 of the MSD sized Kaye Wiggs bodies.

And can be knitted in a multiple of yarns, as long as it's 4ply.... or if you're in the USA sport weight yarn.

So that's that.

Next up, I'm working on something feminine and gorgeous for Smart Doll.
